Practical answers for planning an engagement

The right technology proposal starts with a clear understanding of the work and responsibilities. These answers explain how to prepare, compare options and manage the engagement. Your written proposal and agreement confirm the actual deliverables, costs and support arrangements for your project.

Start with the outcome, not a technical shopping list

You do not need to know which platform or component to request before contacting Mamba. Describe the problem, who it affects, how it is handled now and what would count as an improvement. Existing website links, sample forms and examples of recurring faults can help us understand the situation.

A defined request may be ready for a quotation, while a larger software or infrastructure decision may need an assessment first. Discovery should answer the questions that materially affect scope. The result is a clearer brief and a better basis for comparing delivery options, rather than a requirement to buy a full technology programme.

Make ownership and recurring costs visible

Before work begins, identify who owns the domain, hosting, software accounts, data and supplied content. Third-party tools may have licence or usage conditions separate from Mamba’s service fee. These arrangements should be explained in the proposal so the organisation understands both the initial project and the cost of operating the result.

Access should be provided through an agreed process and limited to the work required. At handover, your nominated contact should know how to manage the agreed system and request support. Training, documentation and ongoing maintenance are easier to evaluate when described explicitly rather than assumed to be included in every project.

Use the specialist pages for detailed scope

The managed IT page explains recurring computer support, while the repair page addresses diagnostics and individual faults. Network services cover connectivity and infrastructure. Website, marketing, database and AI pages describe different kinds of work, even when they contribute to one business objective.

If several needs overlap, start with the most urgent operational issue or request an IT consultancy discussion. A phased plan can establish dependable foundations before adding more complex systems. The goal is to make the first step useful and manageable, while keeping the wider direction clear.

Questions about it, website & digital marketing faqs

How long does a website take?

A focused website can take 14–45 working days, depending on content, decisions and integrations. Your proposal confirms the delivery plan.

Do you guarantee Google rankings?

No. Responsible SEO focuses on technical quality, useful content and measurable progress; nobody can honestly guarantee a ranking.

Can you work with our existing website?

Yes. We assess what should be preserved, improved, rebuilt or supported.

Do you offer ongoing support?

Yes. WebCare, hosting, marketing and AI support can be provided as ongoing retainers.

Can you train our team?

Yes. Training and handover are available for systems, websites and practical AI use.

Do you require access to our accounts before giving a quotation?

Not always. An initial discussion can use descriptions, screenshots or existing documentation. Technical assessments may need access, but the purpose and method should be agreed first. Do not send passwords through a general enquiry form.

Who supplies and approves website content?

The proposal identifies whether Mamba writes content, the client supplies it or both teams contribute. Your organisation should nominate a reviewer to approve service details, factual claims, images and publication permissions.

Will our domain and business accounts remain ours?

Your organisation should retain clear ownership of its business assets and critical accounts. The agreement defines administrative access and any third-party terms. Ask for ownership and handover arrangements to be explicit before work starts.

Are subscriptions and hardware included in the service fee?

Only where stated. Hosting, software licences, advertising spend, model usage, replacement parts and equipment may be separate costs. Your quotation should distinguish them from professional service fees.

Can you take over support from another provider?

Yes, subject to an assessment and the necessary authorised access. We review the current environment, outstanding issues, licences and dependencies before confirming coverage. Transfer arrangements may require cooperation from the existing provider.

What happens if we need an additional feature during delivery?

We assess the request against the agreed scope and explain its effect on cost, timing and other work. The change is approved before being added to the delivery plan.

Can we combine IT support with website or marketing services?

Yes. A coordinated engagement can include several services, but each needs clear deliverables and responsibilities. This makes it easier to understand what is covered and how progress will be reported.
